Among these recognitions, Castle Connolly Top Doctors recently announced that Tryon was the #2 Top Physician Practice for primary care in the nation, and #1 in the same category for North Carolina. On May 14, 2024, U.S. News & World Report announced its first ratings of the best ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in the country citing that Tryon Endoscopy Center received, “a high performing rating for colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.” These two national honors are the most recent additions to Tryon’s lengthy list of accolades.

They partnered with CareJourney to rate nearly 5,000 ASCs across the country based entirely on objective, risk-adjusted measures of their patients’ outcomes, including how successfully they avoided complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes. To ensure fair comparisons among ASCs, the analysis accounted for patient factors, including pre-existing conditions. U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers” only to the highest-rated surgical centers that satisfy U.S. News’ statistical assessment of performance; fewer than 15% of evaluated facilities earned a “High Performing” rating.
