WFAE’s Charlotte Talks hosted CEO Dr. Dale Owen to talk about coronavirus, specifically Tryon Medical Partners’ work with companies to evaluate and test essential employees. Click here to proceed to the WFAE website where you can listen to the entire broadcast.

Dr. Owen was joined by Gibbie Harris, Mecklenburg County Public Health director, and Dr. Ralph Baric, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, William R. Kenan, Jr. Distinguished Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Their discussion focused on whether or not North Carolina is equipped with the testing needed to safely ease restrictions while avoiding a second resurgence of COVID-19.

Dr. Owen discussed how the dissemination of COVID-19 tests are prioritized, and how slowing the spread of COVID-19 among essential workers can keep critical business at optimum capacity to meet the needs of our new normal. (That part of the discussion starts at the 18:30 mark.) If your organization is interested in learning more about corporate COVID-19 testing, contact the TryonDirect.com team.
