Updated COVID-19 Quarantine Recommendations

Tryon Medical Partners has modified our quarantine recommendations, per the guidelines recently released from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Please note that if you have received a positive COVID-19 test result, you should quarantine for 10 days either from the start of symptoms or the day you got tested. This recommendation has not changed.

If you have had close contact/exposure with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and have no symptoms:
  • You should quarantine for 10 days if you are not getting tested.
  • You should quarantine for 7 days if you were tested (ideally no sooner than day 4 or 5 after exposure) and received a negative result.

CDC continues to endorse quarantine for 14 days and recognizes that any quarantine shorter than 14 days balances reduced burden against a small possibility of spreading the virus.
