Tryon Medical Partners has modified our quarantine recommendations, per the guidelines recently released from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Please note that if you have received a positive COVID-19 test result, you should quarantine for 10 days either from the start of symptoms or the day you got tested. This recommendation has not changed.
- You should quarantine for 10 days if you are not getting tested.
- You should quarantine for 7 days if you were tested (ideally no sooner than day 4 or 5 after exposure) and received a negative result.
CDC continues to endorse quarantine for 14 days and recognizes that any quarantine shorter than 14 days balances reduced burden against a small possibility of spreading the virus.
