Appointments and Scheduling

Do I need an appointment for blood work? circle arrow

No appointment is needed for blood work, just reach out to your clinician via the Patient Portal a week prior to your appointment to request the lab orders. (Please be aware that not all clinicians will do labs prior to your appointment and prefer to do these at the time of your office visit, so have this conversation with your clinician or care team.)

What does the Tryon Medical Partners Value-Based Medicine (VBM) team do? circle arrow

This team:

  • Completes Annual Wellness Visits for Medicare Advantage patients. This is a scheduled telephone call that usually takes place a few days prior to your physical exam with your doctor. One of our nurses will call you to complete healthcare screenings, review your medications, and address any preventative healthcare (colonoscopy, mammogram, bone density, and vaccines, just to name a few). Completing your Medicare Annual Wellness Visit prior to your physical allows more time for you and your doctor to discuss other important health-related items.
  • Partners with you and your doctor to help manage chronic conditions and keep you away from the emergency room and out of the hospital.
  • Leverages technology to evaluate your blood pressure, weight, and blood sugar remotely.
  • Provides diabetic education and nutrition support for patients who need it most
