“I chose obstetrics and gynecology because I am passionate about women’s health. A woman’s physical, mental and emotional well-being are all intertwined, and if one part is off, it affects the others. To me, a woman’s menstrual cycle is a vital sign. I love helping girls navigate puberty, preparing women for pregnancy, helping differentiate between normal and abnormal uterine bleeding throughout the aging process, and helping all women feel confident about their bodies.
I feel lucky to get to talk to women every day about their bodies, minds and overall health. I try to be there at times when they feel the most vulnerable, and help put them at ease and give them the support and guidance they need to stay healthy.
