The Department of Health and Human Services’ federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 expired in May 2023. While hospitalizations and test positivity rates in North Carolina remain manageable, Tryon is adhering to the following protocols:
- All patients, sick and well, will be seen in our regular clinic locations.
- Virtual visits will continue to be an option for all patients, including those who’ve tested positive for COVID within the past five days.
- Masks are still recommended, but as of April 1, 2023 are optional for patients without respiratory symptoms.
- You will still be required to wear a mask AT ALL TIMES if you have a cough, a stuffy or runny nose, are sneezing or show other signs of respiratory infection.
Remember, that getting the COVID vaccine is still the best protection against serious COVID infection!
While Tryon is no longer offering the COVID vaccine, they are easy to find. Schedule an appointment with your nearest CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Harris Teeter, Costco, Publix, neighborhood pharmacy or the North Carolina Health Department to get yours.
