“Alexis, a name that means “helper,” is a name that I have always strived to live up to and from an early age, I believe that I was chosen to serve others. I always dreamed of becoming a nurse, and by that time I was 13 years old, I began my career in healthcare as a volunteer candy striper. After high school, I continued my education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2008.
After graduating, it took me a few years to find my niche, but ultimately, I began working for a Family Medicine clinic serving the underserved community, which really fueled my passion for nursing. From this experience, I pushed myself to go back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, because I knew that I had more to offer my patients. Throughout my nursing career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of specialties, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Infectious Disease, and Endocrinology.
I truly believe that nursing is the greatest profession in the world, and I look forward to sharing my experience and passion to provide patients with excellent care. It is my goal to partner with patients in helping them meet their healthcare needs. Here at Tryon Medical Partners, I am truly blessed to work alongside some of the best providers Charlotte has to offer.
When I am not in the office, I am usually found spending time with my husband and two sons, serving at my church or shopping! I also enjoy making crafts, traveling and trying new restaurants.”
