COVID-19 testing for Tryon patients

COVID-19 testing appointments are for established Tryon patients ONLY.

Please wait to test until you have had symptoms for at least 24 hours. COVID-19 symptoms include cough, congestion, sore throat, runny nose, fever, shortness of breath, headache and loss of smell or taste.

When should you test?

  • Vaccinated persons who have been exposed should wear a mask around others and test three to five days after exposure.

  • Unvaccinated persons who have been exposed should test immediately after exposure, and test again five to seven days after exposure if the first test is negative, and quarantine for 10-14 days after exposure regardless of test results.

  • Unvaccinated individuals should be tested one to three days before and three to five days after travel.

For more information, read “When to test” by Dr. Jennifer Womack, or refer to updated COVID-19 testing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
