Tryon Medical Partners is expanding its footprint across the Charlotte region under new CEO Lindsay Muns, adding physicians, opening its first Union County location and preparing to move into a larger Huntersville office.
Since its founding in 2018, Tryon Medical Partners has grown to more than 100 physicians. It serves about 200,000 patients the Charlotte region.
Muns said she, along with Dr. Robert Brownlee, president at Tryon Medical Partners, have spent the last year working to evolve the practice. Over the last 12 months, the practice has hired 15 new physicians and 12 advanced-care clinicians across several specialty areas.
“It’s been exciting to see these things come to fruition as we’ve been investing in the core functions that allow us to continue providing care and support for our physicians and patients,” she said. “There’s been tremendous investment in our patient access and call center and the online scheduling module, which is happening in parallel to more visible growth and expansion.”
That expansion includes the health system’s first medical office in Union County, which opened in late July at 1621 S. Providence Road in Waxhaw. Tryon announced its plans for the practice earlier this year to account for a rapidly growing but underserved patient population.
Tryon Medical is also moving its Huntersville practice into a new space within a 128,500-square-foot office building at 13620 Reese Blvd., Muns said. Work is underway now on the upfit, and the office will open in the coming months. Its current Huntersville office is located at 9615 Kincey Ave.
The new 15,000-square-foot space will have 25 exam rooms, endoscopy suites and additional administrative office space. Muns said though it is slightly smaller based on square footage, the layout will be much more efficient and allow Tryon to update its infusion suite, expand service lines, offer more procedures and bring in more providers.
